So summer’s coming to an end.  It’s been a wild time in New York and I’ve been able to meet and/or reconnect with such great people in my time here.  On Wednesday I’m heading home to clear my head for a bit then by next Monday I will be back in Ohio ready to tackle my last year of school.  Seeing people I haven’t seen for months has given me a first class case of the jitters during this last week.  I’m so excited to be part of such a creative, and welcoming atmosphere that school creates.

Finishing up at Coney Island.  I was there yesterday for some pretty harsh light, I tried to make the most of it.

Some other shots from Monday

As of right now I’m packing my stuff up and in the morning I will be bound for Alaska for a week.  Nothing too strenuous, just a cruise with the family.  I haven’t really fathomed exactly where I’m going.  I’m going to Alaska, I tell myself, yet I have absolutely no idea what’s in store for me and how awe inspiring (hopefully) the experience will be.  Back with pictures in a week.  Until then, some more Coney Island shots.

I actually shot some verticals.

At school, its almost a running joke that no one shoots verticals.  Sometimes professors have to tell us that its ok to put our cameras on its side…it wont break.  After shooting square for the last month or so, I tried my hand at really pushing the vertical frame as well.

Heres some stuff I shot Monday at Coney Island.
